Alameda House is a 15-bed transitional living facility that provides residential services for qualified veterans and residential treatment services for individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders for up to 90 days. Clients enrolled in residential treatment services may receive psychosocial rehabilitative skills training, individual and group counseling, case management and substance use counseling. Who is eligible? To qualify for veteran residential services, a person must be referred by the VA. To qualify for residential treatment services a person must meet criteria for co- occurring residential treatment and be referred by Downtown Austin Community Court or be a high-utilizer of psychiatric inpatient resources and in need of longer term residential services to address co-occurring issues and participate in wrap-around programs supports such as those provided by the program.
