The Legion Project was formed to assist men upon release from prison who are proven followers of Jesus Christ make a successful transition into life outside of prison. The Legion Project commits to provide a parolee the following upon release: • Furnished apartment in Amarillo, • Vehicle, • Assistance in obtaining employment, • Mentor, • Assistance with transportation to initial necessary appointments and other assistance upon arrival in Amarillo as necessary. The Legion Project accepts parolees for residence solely in Amarillo, Texas. The Legion Project is unique in that each parolee accepted to the program repays all funds expended by the Legion Project on behalf of the parolee. To be considered for acceptance by the Legion Project, a parolee must submit an application and the Legion Project must receive acceptable recommendations on behalf of the parolee. The Legion Project may make such other requirements for acceptance as the Legion Project may determine at its sole discretion.
